Surveys
Whiddon prioritised staff comfort and consulted employees through surveys to inform the design process. Feedback revealed a need for uniforms that were practical, easy to care for, and made staff feel professional. The data helped Total Image design custom tunics and curate stock items that met these needs, with an extensive size range and clear department differentiation.
Trials
Total Image conducted regular trials of fabric, colours, and styles, sending samples for staff feedback. This collaborative process led to adjustments that ensured the final uniform met Whiddon's standards for comfort, fit, and practicality.
Custom Tunic & Curated Range
The uniform range includes custom tunics, shirts, and tops for various departments, including care staff, catering, administration, and maintenance. Unique colour detailing differentiates each department, and the fabric is breathable, stain-resistant, and low-maintenance, keeping staff looking professional without the need for ironing.
Fit-Outs
To ensure correct sizing, Total Image organised on-location fit-outs across NSW and QLD, visiting over 19 locations. Staff tried on the new uniforms to find their correct fit, improving accuracy and reducing shipping costs.
Multi-location Management
With staff spread across 2.5 million square kilometres, Whiddon required efficient uniform ordering and management. Total Image created a unique online store, simplifying bulk orders and ensuring correct garments were selected. Orders were shipped monthly, and custom stock was managed through Total Image's warehouse to minimise delays.
An Ongoing Success
The partnership between Total Image and Whiddon has been successful, with continued satisfaction in service, efficiency, and uniform quality. Total Image remains committed to maintaining this valuable relationship.
'On behalf of The Whiddon Group let me express my appreciation to you and the team for the uniform range that you designed and created for us. Not only was everything of the highest quality but the service we received throughout the whole process from undertaking the surveys to find out what our staff wanted through to fit cuts and launch were impeccable.' – Ezelle – The Whiddon Group
