Total Image Implementation
Led by Pamela Jabbour, Total Image's design team faced the challenge of creating uniforms for athletes whose physiques would change significantly in the lead-up to competition as they "bulk up" for performance. Months before departure, Total Image conducted fittings and crafted garments based on projected measurements — an exceptional achievement, with every piece fitting perfectly.
Pamela also introduced a groundbreaking design twist: incorporating navy alongside Australia's traditional green and gold. The bold addition modernised the look, creating a more wearable and sophisticated palette that the athletes embraced enthusiastically. An inspired personal touch came in the form of gold medallists' names embroidered inside each blazer lining, symbolising pride, legacy, and excellence.
The Result
The 2018 Australian Winter Olympic uniform was unveiled at a high-profile launch, showcasing timeless tailoring, national pride, and innovative design. Worn proudly in PyeongChang, the range represented not only Australia on the world stage but also a defining moment in Olympic uniform history, where function met fashion, and Total Image made history as the first uniform provider to design for Team Australia.
