Turning Hesitation Into Confidence for Respect Aged Care

Respect Aged Care

Respect Aged Care, operating over 25 facilities with more than 2,500 staff across regional Australia, required a uniform solution to resolve ongoing issues from a previous rollout. Their existing uniforms suffered from poor fit, low-quality fabric, and limited durability—leading to staff dissatisfaction. Total Image was engaged to develop a refreshed uniform range that enhanced comfort, sustainability, and brand alignment, while streamlining ordering and distribution processes.

Key Highlights

  • Regain staff confidence in the Respect uniform
  • Ensure adoption across all facilities
  • Effectively manage regional locations
  • Respond to last-minute acquisition demands and uniform onboarding
  • Create a unique look aligned with recent rebranding
  • Maintain ongoing consistency

Outcomes

  • Staff Engagement & Fit Trials: Beginning in 2023, Total Image conducted focus groups in Tasmania to drive staff engagement and ensure the best fit selection. These sessions built confidence and enthusiasm for the new uniform range.
  • Fit-for-Purpose Garments: New garments were designed for comfort, durability, and professionalism, using breathable, wash-and-wear polyester and Climate Control fabric. Staff voted on their preferred options to ensure relevance and approval.
  • "Dress for Your Day" Approach: This approach empowered staff to choose garments that suited their roles and body shapes, without restrictions based on colour or limited styles.
  • Custom Patterns & Branding: Scrubs were customised with Respect Green and unique icons featured on Respect's website, strengthening brand identity.
  • Efficient Fit Kit & Stock Management: Total Image maintained roaming fit kits and implemented a forecasting system to minimise stock shortages and support efficient distribution.
  • Rapid Response to Expansion: Total Image mobilised fit kits, onboarding tools, and stock within 24 hours of new acquisitions. In one instance, a newly acquired facility with 450 staff was onboarded with just a day's notice, with uniform orders dispatched to regional Victoria within two weeks.
  • Effective Remote Site Management: From Kalgoorlie to the outskirts of regional Tasmania, every facility was treated with the same level of support, ensuring each site felt connected and valued.

Total Image's ongoing partnership with Respect Aged Care continues to prioritise comfort, consistency, and efficiency—delivering stress-free uniform management that scales seamlessly with future growth.
